We have been talking about bioplastics and biodegradable plastics for the past few weeks, and there is one kind of plastic left which is also well known: compostable plastics.
Like Bioplastics, Compostable plastics are made of renewable energy such as corn, potato, and lactic acid. Compostable material is defined as a material capable of breaking down into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass at the same rate as cellulose. And by the characteristic of compostable plastic itself, it can not leave any toxic material after being broken down in the compost, by which it means that it can be a support as a natural fertilizer for plant growth. That sounds surprisingly nice, right?
Well, in order to let the compostable break down, it will need the right amount of air, sunlight, and moisture. Therefore, we can not throw compostable plastics at the landfill, as it will not be effective enough. The best way to dispose of compostable plastic is to let them compost at composting industries.

Bio-plastic လိုပဲ Compostable Plastics ကိုလည်း ရေနံ အစား ပြောင်းဖူး၊ ကြံ၊ အားလူးများအပြင် အခြားသော Organic Acid ဖြစ်တဲ့ Lactic Acid တွေနဲ့ ထုတ်လုပ်ထားတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Compostable ြဖစ်တဲ့ ပစ္စည်းတွေက ကာဗွန်ဒိုင်အောက်ဆိုဒ်၊ ရေနဲ့ ဇီ၀လောင်စာတွေကို တူညီတဲ့နှုန်းနဲ့ ြဖိ ု ခွဲပေးနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒါ့အပြင် compostable ပလတ်စတစ် ရဲ့ ၀ိသေသလက္ခဏအရ ၎င်းပြိုကွဲသွားပြီဆိုရင် မြေဆီလွှာထဲမှာ အဆိပ်အတောက်ဖြစ်စေနိုင်တဲ့ ဓာတုပစ္စည်းတွေ လုံး၀မထုတ်လွှတ်နိုင်ပါဘူး။ ၎င်းက အပင်တွေ ကြီးထွားမှုအတွက်လည်း သဘာ၀မြေဩဇာတစ်ခုအဖြစ် အထောက်အပံ့ဖြစ်စေနိုင်ပါတယ်။
ဒါကြောင့် Compostable Plasticsက အံဩစရာကောင်းလောင်အောင် ပတ်၀န်းကျင်အတွက် အကျိူးပြု စေနိုင်ပါတယ်။ သုံးပြီးသွားလို့ ဂရုတစိုက်ပစ်မယ်ဆိုရင်လည်း အဆင်ပြေတာပေါ့နော်။ Compostable Plastics များဟာ ကောင်းကောင်းမွန်မွန်ပြိုကွဲဖို့အတွက်ဆိုရင် သင့်တော်တဲ့ လေဓာတ်၊ နေရောင်ခြည်ပမာဏနဲ့ အစိုဓာတ်တွေ လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် Compostable Plastics တွေကို အခြားအမှိုက်သရိုက်တွေနဲ့အတူ ရောနှောပစ်မယ်ဆိုရင် အမှိုက်တွေပဲများလာပြီး ကောင်းကျိူးရှိလာမှာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ Compostable Plasticsများကို အသုံးပြုပြီးစွန့်ပစ်ရန် အကောင်းဆုံးနည်းလမ်းကတော့ သူတို့ကို composting industry တွေဆီကို ပို့ပေးြခင်းပဲ ြဖစ်ပါတယ်ရွင္။
