Did you know that every year 8 billion plastic waste ends up in the ocean?
It is estimated that by the year 2050, there would be more plastics than the fish in the ocean. Imagine fishes, and other marine lives living in the ocean with piles of trash and plastics in between. Tourist attraction beaches, rivers, water ports will no longer be beautiful if the rate of plastic waste generation continues year by year.
According to the data of the United Nations, around 800 species of marine creatures get affected by plastic debris, and plastic represents approximately 80% of total waste.
Plastic waste can surely help us to have a comfortable life for a moment while using it, but the consequences of misuse may provide us the worst reality we can ever imagine.

တကယ်လို့သာ စွန့်ပစ်ပလတ်စတစ်ပစ္စည်းတွေသာ ယခုနှုန်းအတိုင်း ထပ်ပြီးများလာမယ်ဆိုရင် ကမ္ဘာလှည့်ခရီးသွားတွေကို ဆွဲဆောင်နေတဲ့ ကမ်းခြေတွေ ၊ မြစ်တွေ၊ ပင်လယ်ဆိပ်ကမ်းတွေကလည်း လှပနေတော့မှာ မဟုတ်တော့ပါဘူး။
United Nations ခေါ် ကမ္ဘာ့ကုလသမဂ္ဂက တွေ့ရှိတဲ့အချက်အလက်တွေအရ မျိုးစိတ်ပေါင်း ၈၀၀ ကျော်ရှိတဲ့ ပင်လယ်နေ သတ္တဝါတွေဟာ မသန့်စင်တဲ့ ပလတ်စတစ်အပိုင်းအစတွေရဲ့ နောက်ဆက်တွဲဆိုးကျိူးတွေကို ခံစားနေရပါတယ်။ ပင်လယ်ထဲရှိ အညစ်အကြေးအားလုံးရဲ့ ၈၀ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းဟာ ပလတ်စတစ်များဖြစ်နေပါပြီ။
ပလတ်စတစ်ပစ္စည်းတွေကို ကိုင်တွယ်အသုံးပြုခြင်းဟာ ကျွန်တော်တို့လူသားအားလုံးအတွက် ခဏတာသက်သာမှုကို ပေးနိုင်ပေမယ့် နောက်ဆက်တွဲအကျိုးဆက်အတွက် အလေးအနက်ထားပြီး လေ့လာကြည့်မယ်ဆိုရင် ကျွန်တော်တို့မထင်မှတ်ထားတဲ့ ဆိုးကျိုးတွေကို ဖြစ်ပေါ်စေနိုင်ပါတယ်။
