Since the start of plastic production, around 8.3 billion plastics are produced worldwide, and 90% of them are not being recycled.
China, one of the highest economic countries, is said to be the largest plastic waste generated country according to the data from 2010. An average Chinese person produces 1.1Kg of plastic waste per day.
In our country, the average person generates 0.35 Kg of plastic waste per day in 2017. If the trends continue, the higher the population, the more upper mismanaged plastic shall be used, especially in the rural areas, and villages.

၂၀၁၀ ခုနှစ် မှတ်တမ်းများအရ တရုတ်နိုင်ငံဟာ ပလတ်စတစ်စွန့်ပစ်ပစ္စည်းအများဆုံး ထုတ်လုပ်သော နိုင်ငံ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ တရုတ်နိုင်ငံမှာ လူတစ်ဦးလျှင် ပျမ်းမျှအားဖြင့် တစ်နေ့တွင် ပလတ်စတစ်စွန့်ပစ်ပစ္စည်း ပမာဏ ၁.၁ ကီလိုဂရမ် အထိရှိကြောင်း တွေ့ရှိရပါတယ်။
ကျွန်တော်တို့မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှာဆိုရင် ၂၀၁၇ ခုနှစ်မှတ်တမ်းအရ ပျှမ်းမျှအားဖြင့် လူတစ်ဦးလျှင် စွန့်ပစ်ပလတ်စတစ် ပမာဏ ၀.၃၅ ကီလိုဂရမ် ရှိပါတယ်။ လူဦးရေ တိုးတက်လာသည်နှင့်အမျှ ပလတ်စတစ်စွန့်ပစ်ပစ္စည်း ပမာဏလည်း များလေလေပါ။ ကျေးလက် ရပ်ရွာများတွေ မှာလည်း တစ်နေ့တစ်နေ့ ပလတ်စတစ်အသုံးပြုတာများလာသည်နှင့်အမျှ ပလတ်စတစ်စွန့်ပစ်ပစ္စည်းနှုန်း များလာတာကို သိသိသာသာ တွေ့မြင်ရပါတယ်။
